Another easy lake to hike to in the Mammoth area. This has a rewarding outcome no matter the season. Views, cliff jumping, waterfalls, and great spots for just hanging out.
If you make your way to the Goldwater Campground there is plenty of parking. The trailhead you take leads to many lakes but the Duck Pass trailhead is the on you want to take.
This is a easy trail to follow and walk with very little obstacles. You follow it along for around a mile and you won't miss the lake on your left. There are a few beach like areas along the south side or trail side of the lake to chill at. If you wanted to hang by the river or go cliff jumping, you will want to keep walking until you get to the eastern edge of the lake.
The rock jump is pretty hard to miss but you will need to cross the river to get to it. I do mention this area in hopes you will know your limits and have fun safely. (There is phone signal there.)
