Dark, clear nights. Easily accessible camping. Plenty of bouldering at one of the most historic spots in the Eastern Sierras. Landscape photo ops of the sierras.
The Eastern Sierras have some of the most spectacular views in the world. This area in particular is known for its rock climbing. It also has amazing opportunities for photographers.
The nights during a new moon are incredibly dark and create great astro photography shots. During the day, the landscape is rugged and diverse, and you can get a variety of different shots for landscape photography. This place is great if you are an adventure photographer, because you can shoot rock climbing and stunning landscapes all in the same day.
