A great hike up the canyon suitable for all levels. Beautiful views, and hike in as far or as short as you're in the mood for!
Starting at the Tongue Canyon Campground, the trail meanders next to the river as the canyon walls get deeper and deeper. There are some pretty incredible limestone walls here, and the views along the canyon are excellent.
Eventually you'll start to climb a bit more, away from the river and up into the Bighorns. You'll reach a great meadow, where many choose to enjoy the view. The view from here provides great views down the canyon and into the Bighorns. Return the way you came to make this about 9 miles round trip.
There are also ways to connect the trail with Freeze Out Point as a shuttle hike, or continue further into the Bighorns. Enjoy!
