About this place

Added by Cameron Cech

If you are already in Door County, this is a worthy spot to visit, especially if you can do so for sunrise or sunset while the light is on. The beach is entirely made of shells and depending on the tide, you can walk out rather far.

You will arrive at a parking lot that is on the mainland. Once parked, you will need to walk across the land bridge to Cana Island where you will come to a small building to pay an admission fee. Hours and Fees are below.

Once on the island, you can walk around and explore the light keeper's house, the lighthouse itself, and the shoreline.

Nearby Adventures:
Cave Point County Park
Toft Point State Natural Area
The Ridges Sanctuary State Natural Area

Hours: Open 10 am - 5 pm May 15th thru November 1st, 7 days a week.
The last tower climb begins at 4:30 pm each day.

Admission:
Adults -- $12 and includes entrance to the island, keeper's quarters and light tower.
Youth (5-17) -- $9 and includes entrance to the island, keeper's quarters and light tower.

There are age and height restrictions for children to safely climb the tower. They must be at least 5 yrs. old and 42 inches tall.
