One of the best spots to view sunrise in Milwaukee!
One of Milwaukee's truly hidden gems, this beach is right off of Capitol Drive and approximately 50 stairs down from the bluffs to the shoreline!
You can park anywhere on the road (Lake Drive) and be a short walk to the main overlook. This beach has many jetties that go out into the water which are closed off however they make great foreground interest if you are coming here for photography!
This is another park where you will find countless photographers from Milwaukee trying to get a new angle of Lake Michigan!
There are two paths down to the main beach:
- A wheelchair accessible path that zig-zags down the bluff to the bottom
- A staircase that goes straight down the middle of the park.
This park can be enjoyed all year long! In the winter, ice forms all along the jetties creating interesting ice shelves that you can walk out onto (however still dangerous).
