One of the lesser known state parks in the southeast Wisconsin, it has an amazing clear lake surrounded by granite cliffs!
This state park is about a 30 minute drive north from Milwaukee on I-43. It has beach access along it's entire length, multiple hiking trails, and a great quarry lake that can be used for fishing, hiking, or general exploring.
From the parking lot, go south toward the signs for Quarry lake. There is one paved path that will lead to the lake which is a quick 3-5 minute walk. You will be reward with breathtaking views all along the small lake which is crystal clear down to the bottom! Depending on the season, there is a waterfall along the north side of the lake that you can walk over! This trail can be accessed all year long with the best viewing seasons being summer and fall.
For the most part it is an exposed trail with 5-10 foot cliffs along the edge, however some parts go into the forest as well for a secluded walk.
Bring a picnic lunch, a camera, and your sense of adventure as you hike around this great state park wonder!

Harrington Beach is about 35 miles north of Milwaukee and 21 miles south of Sheboygan, WI via Interstate Highway 43. From I-43, take exit 107 (Belgium/Lake Church) and go east on County Highway D about one mile. The park entrance will be on your right. Geographic coordinates are 43° 29' 37.81" N, 87° 48' 8.13" W.
