Serene section hike with a diverse forest canopy and a Class I trout stream, the Plover River. Access is free and easy. Great fall colors!
Parking is available at the southern terminus on Sportsman Drive and at the northern terminus on County Hwy HH. There is also parking available mid-trail at the intersection of Highland Drive and State Hwy 52, and south of State Hwy 52 along Highland Drive.
Hike the trail as 5.7 miles one way by parking at one end and biking to the other end, make the trail an out-and-back of 11.4 miles, or split the trail into several parts using the two middle parking lots.
North of State Hwy 52 the trails consists of hardwood forest, mossy boulders, and a boardwalk through a cedar grove. South of State Hwy 52 the terrain travels over and along the Plover River where you can spot the local trout and enjoy the dense pine and poplar forests.
