See two unique waterfalls in a charming West Virginia state park. There are options to camp here as well.
Right off interstate I-77, Camp Creek State Park has two waterfalls that you can easily access: Mash Fork Falls and Campbell Falls. These falls can both have very low flows in late summer, so try to plan your visit for times of higher flows (early spring or after a rain).
Mash Fork Falls is in the southwest part of the park and there is a parking lot with a viewing platform next to the falls. Although this is only a 7 foot tall waterfall, it plunges over a sandstone ledge, making for a very unique and scenic waterfall.
From Mash Fork Falls, head back on the main park road towards the Blue Jay Campground. There will be a sign for "Campbell Falls parking". Park here. You will then have to walk along the flat gravel road for 0.3 miles until you arrive at Campbell Falls. Campbell Falls is 15 feet tall and has many stair step ledges over which the water cascades. You can view this falls from a straight angle or take a short path off the side of the road to view it from the side.
Once finished viewing both falls, the state park has great campsites if you wish to stay. The Blue Jay campground (tents only) is $15/night and most campsites are ~10 feet from a stream.
