About this place

Added by Nathan Pauli

Banks Lake provides some of the only deep water soloing in Washington State. An epic setting and a unique climbing experience make this adventure hard to beat!

No grades, no crowds, tons of rock. Banks Lake is a little-trafficked underrated climbing destination overall, but the deep water solo climbs rimming the lake shores are what provide a truly unique experience. Within the seemingly endless slab walls of granite rising out of the water are sections of steeper rock that provide fun climbing and safe falls.

Rent a boat from the Coulee Playland Resort and cruise 15 minutes south back down the lake. From there it's up to you! Come prepared to spend your day exploring, climbing and splashing. Scout out anything that looks fun to climb and get on it!

Note: Make sure to do your homework before you start climbing and inspect the bottom and shoreline to make sure you have sufficient depth.
