About this place

Added by Jason Graham

A scenic day hike that offers beautiful views and a side trip to a waterfall.

Begin your hike from the large trailhead parking area, on a half-mile access trail which switchbacks up from the lot and through the forest. At the junction, turn left on the old logging road. Climb gently through young forest for 1.5 miles passing a side trail to the popular Teneriffe Falls. Just past the intersection with the Roaring Creek Trail you begin switchbacking at a steeper incline for 2.7 miles.

Come to a T intersection signed with another map of the area. A left here takes you via a connector trail to the base of the Mount Si haystack; but Teneriffe is found to your right.

The summit push is a very short rocky scramble to the top. From the summit, the Snoqualmie Valley spreads out below, with 360-degree mountain views, from Mailbox Peak to the east, to the distant snowy summits of Mount Baker and Glacier Peak to the north, and of course, Mount Rainier to the south.

Fantastic Hike!
This hike is a must do! It is pretty difficult however. After the falls it's pretty much at a 15%-20% gradient to the top. ...

Worth the effort
Although this one is a haul, it's definitely worth the extra effort for a little solitude and better views than nearby Mt Si. ...
