Hardy and Rodney Falls can be seen via a relatively easy and short hike through thick forest to two wonderful waterfalls.
Located along the Hamilton Mountain Trail, the Hardy and Rodney falls out and back hike is a good alternative for those looking for a shorter hike compared to the 7.6-mile hike to the top of Hamilton Mountain.
From the Hamilton Mountain Trailhead, you will follow the trail through thick trees for most of the way to the falls with a few openings along the way. When you begin to hear the rushing water from the falls you will soon stumble across a short trail that will take you to the Hardy Falls lookout. When you've spent enough time at the viewpoint continue back onto the trail where you will soon see the bridge that crosses in front of Rodney Falls. There's also a little trail just before the bridge at Rodney Falls that takes you to an overlook.
