About this place

Added by Colin Ayers

Coal Creek Trail in Coal Creek Park provides scenic views of Coal Creek Falls and a fairly shaded trail.

This trail takes you through Coal Creek park and follows the creek along the trail with minimal elevation gain. This trail can also be accessed from the northern end of the park if that's a more convenient drive. For the lower parking lot, park at the Red Town lot (exit 13 off I-90) and cross the street to get to the trailhead.

As you get moving on this six-mile trail, you’ll soon spot an old coal mine shaft and a small waterfall. If you're feeling good, you can make your trip longer by linking the Primrose and Forest Drive Trails.

Once you're ready to rest your legs, head to Megan's Coffee Corner to grab and a bite and that much needed coffee.

Great Little Run
I was surprised at what I found on this run. It was great non technical trail with a few longish hills and beautiful scenery. ...
