About this place

Added by Connor Smith

A quick 4x4 up a dirt road for incredible view of the Wenatchee Valley.

At the north end of the Wenatchee Valley, drive up Burch Mountain Road until it turns into dirt. It is closed in the winter and early spring due to snow, so make sure it's open before you go. Once you start driving, the mountain is your playground. Go all the way up to the trees or stop just high enough to get a view of the valley. In the spring, the hills are covered with wildflowers. If you can go at sunset, make sure to bring a camera. An average car won't do very well on this road, anything designed to handle off-roading will be ideal. There's no need for a permit, but be smart in the summer and fall. This is a very dry area and a single spark can light up the hillside with fire. Mountain biking, hiking, hunting, and target shooting are some of the most popular activities up here.
