Siouxon Trail to 14 Mile Falls

When you park at the top of the trail, all you see is layers and layers of emerald trees and ground clear of any underbrush.

Once on the trail, you start on a rapid decline that brings you to the first of the many streams along this hike. Cross the bridge made out of logs and head towards the main waterway in the area, Siouxon Creek. The trail will have its ups and downs as you follow the green, turquoise and copper creek as is slowly meanders through the valley. You can spot many of its available campsites along the way, and setup a quick camp if you plan on staying overnight. Day hikers can stop and take one of the many side trails down to the water to soak their feet in the cold clear waters.

2 miles in, you will rise on the trail and cross Horseshoe Creek Falls at the second bridge on the trail. You can jump into the pool on top before it drops, or follow the trail a little longer and take a left for the trails leading to its base.

Continuing on the main trail, you can find more waterfalls, overlooks, and great places for camping, picnicking and enjoying nature. Two trails lead off into loops that bring you to more waterfalls and adventures.

Staying on the trail for 4 miles will bring you to the third bridge which overlooks 14 Mile Falls. This is a great place for lunch for the day hikers and it has some huge campgrounds for those backpacking in large groups. Here, you can branch off to see Chinook Falls, or turn around and head back from the way you came.
