A short hike on the Appalachian Trail to a very pretty waterfall.
This hike will start on the Appalachian Trail and will take you to a beautiful set of falls. When you arrive at the location you will see numerous spots along the side of the road to park. You'll need to look for the white blaze for the Appalachian Trail (it will head up from the parking area).
The trail will initially head up a ridge from the parking area. After a short stroll you'll start heading back down the ridge and will come to a small stream. You'll also see a large boulder and camping area. After you cross the stream you'll see a trail that leads off to the right. Follow this well-worn but unmarked trail up the left side of the stream and you'll arrive at the waterfall. Because this isn't a well-known waterfall you should have the spot to yourself.
It is a beautiful area for a quick snack or break. After spending time enjoying the waterfall you can follow the trail back to your car.
