A secluded park in my middle of a busy town- Chesapeake Virginia.
When you're short on time and you need your daily dose of nature, Indian River Park is a quick little 'getaway'. It is best to park at Rokeby Center. When you arrive to the park you'd be surprised that this little patch of nature exists in the middle of the town. The trail can be hard to follow at times, but it's a 2 mile loop so all the little trail off shoots tend to end up in the same direction anyways. There are occasionally car sounds when the trail edges closer to the road and some points along the trail are little clearings where you can see homes. However, all in all it's close to home and easy to get to when you don't have the time for a further excursion.
