About this place

Catch Blue Crabs, Bass, Catfish and see one of the best sunsets Virginia Beach has to offer!

From the Virginia Beach ocean front, head South on VA-149/General Booth Blvd for 6 miles. Turn left onto Princess Anne Rd and head South for 10.5 miles. Turn right onto Old Pungo Ferry Rd. Take this road until it ends at a small park.

From here, hike along the water's edge to find the best place to photograph the bridge and surrounding area. This spot is also a great place to put in a kayak or canoe. This area is also a great place to fish for bass or catfish. The waters are also loaded with blue crabs!

Quiet and off the beaten track
The old ferry landing is a wonderful, off the beaten path spot to catch a beautiful sunset in Virginia Beach. Bring your bug spray, though!

Good spot, better ones nearby
In terms of photographing sunset, there are some other spots nearby with fewer obstructions. However it’s all up to your personal preferences!
