The Knolls Sand Dunes are an amazing pace to capture night shots. On a clear night, you can see the milky way with only your eyes. All photos uploaded were shot with the Nikon D810 and the Nikon 14-24mm lens. The typical settings were f/2.8, 10-15 seconds at ISO 4000-6400.
Getting There:
From Salt Lake City get on I-80W. Drive on I-80 for about 80 miles and then take exit 41 to Knolls. Once you take the exit turn left to get on frontage road. Continue on frontage road until you see a sign for Knolls OHV. Turn left and cross the railway tracks to reach Knolls.
There is a day use fee of $6.
