About this place

Added by Chris Engelsman

Park City's Mid-Mountain Trail is a classic that traverses from Deer Valley to the Canyons Village.

The Mid-Mountain Trail is unique to Park City. It's an epic trail that connects Deer Valley, to Park City Mountain Resort, and Canyons Village. Traversing at approximately 8,300 feet elevation, the trail is comprised of 13 sections and is a 22.8 mile point-to-point ride from Deer Valley to Canyons Village.

Over the course of the trail you will climb approximately 4,457 feet and descend 5,540 feet. Because Deer Valley has a higher starting elevation, most people choose to start at Deer Valley's Silver Lake base area and ride towards Canyons Village.

Most people mountain bike this trail, but it's also popular for trail runners and hikers in the Deer Valley and Park City sections.

Since there are 13 sections of the Mid-Mountain Trail, there are many options to create loops, or exit/enter the trail from various points. Some of the other popular starting points are Hwy 224 just above the Montage Hotel, or climb the Armstrong trail from the Silver Star base area of Park City.

When you finish at Canyons Village, you can grab a tasty beverage at Drafts Burger Bar, and then either pedal back to Old Town via the bike path, or jump on the #12 electric bus which leaves the Canyons Transit center every 10-minutes.
