About this place

Added by Jordan Smith

Hidden Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon offers up a picturesque waterfall and creek in a very short hike.

Hidden Falls is a beautiful little waterfall with minimal crowds. When I say minimal, I mean I've only seen another person there 1 of the 5 or 6 times that I have been. Take it in. Stay a while. Scramble around the small canyon for different perspectives of the falls or the creek. If you don't have a neutral density filter, the light in the evening is great for longer exposures.

I've never climbed at this location, but I have seen others climb on the down-canyon side of the creek about 15-20 yards downstream from the falls. Nice cool spot at almost any time of the day with the shade and the moisture from the falls.

Getting There:

From the East I-215 belt route, take exit 6 for 6200 S, then travel East on 6200 S for approximately 1.8 Miles to Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd. From the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, travel East for approximately 4.0 miles to the "S Curve." It literally looks like an S. As you round the first curve, park on your right hand side in the North end of the S. Follow the trail marked "Mill B North Fork" across the road to the North. Mill B turns to the right once you cross the road. STAY STRAIGHT. Simply follow the creek for about 50 yards (there is a trail on the right hand side of the creek) and you can't miss the falls.

You Get What You Put In and Then Some
Simple, short hike leads to a pretty sweet waterfall. Not the biggest, loudest, or most awe-inspiring; but for a 3 minute walk it's worth ...
