About this place

Added by Jake Clements

Pine Hollow Trail is a great trail used for hiking/snowshoeing/mountain biking/backpacking with a great view of Heber and a view of Timp that most don't see too often.

The trailhead (Forest Trail 047 - Pine Hollow Trail) starts across the street from a turnout about .5 miles above Mutual Dell in American Fork Canyon. This highly trafficked trail is used for just about every activity you can think of, meaning that you can even snowshoe this in the winter. It's a gorgeous trail, and it's very family friendly. My favorite thing to do is to backpack it and camp in the high meadow. There are trail signs all throughout the hike and at every fork, so it's tough to get lost. Many people stop at the end of the trail when it turns into the "Ridge Trail", don't turn around at this fork! You have come this far. Turn left at this and follow this trail until you can see Heber City. This is a spectacular view, especially at night. You can even go further than this if you'd like, following the Ridge Trail all the way to the highest point. This is a fun, easy trail that has many uses. I highly recommend it to people of all ages and interests.

Awesome hike!
I loved this hike! It was easy to find and the trail was really well paved. I wish we had had more ...
