Adams Canyon

The trailhead is at a dirt parking lot with a lot of parking, but on Saturday mornings it can get full and people are forced to park on the street.

As you start off, there are a few steep and sandy switchbacks. They don't last too long but on a hot day it can seem like forever. After that, the trail will continue to be steep but won't switchback nearly as often. Follow the trail through the forest and eventually it will start to get a little rocky. There is a bridge to cross the stream at one point. Near the waterfall, there is no bridge to cross the stream but plenty of rocks to hop across.

There will be a lot of dogs on this trail as well as people. Sometimes it can get slick and muddy especially in the Spring when the snow melt is high. Total elevation gain on this hike is 1,420 feet. There are also a ton of camping spots near the trail if you would like to spend the night, one time I saw a father and a son panning for gold in the river.
