Hiking to Broad Forks Basin takes you to an awesome alpine meadow with great views of the surrounding peaks in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. In season, you'll have the chance to eat wild raspberries.
The Broads Fork trailhead starts in Big Cottonwood Canyon in the same parking lot as the Lake Blanche trailhead, this trailhead is on the west side of the parking lot. The trail is very easy to follow and is well marked.
Follow the trail until you come to a great big basin. Here you will be able to relax in a gorgeous alpine meadow with amazing views of the massive peaks in the background and a cool little beaver pond. During late August you can follow the trail past the pond a little bit and find hundreds of wild raspberry bushes. They are extremely tasty and totally safe to eat! There is also a good chance you will run into a few moose while hiking on the trail.
