Explore a Manmade Geyser in Utah

Four and a half miles from the town of Green River, Utah, Crystal Geyser is one of the few manmade geysers as a result of the area's historical mining industry. This cold-water geyser usually erupts every eight to 20 hours.

Getting to the geyser is easy and the site can be accessed by car on a washboard gravel and paved road. Take the exit for UT-19 and head west away from Green River. Turn left on to BLM - 325 / Area 51 Road and follow it until you hit Crystal Geyser Safari / Little Valley Rd. Follow this gravel road until you arrive at the river; here you'll see the geyser in a small turnaround area.

Once at the geyser, you'll find open camping, no bathrooms, and no water unless you filter it from the river. The area is a popular spot for floating Labryinth Canyon so expect to see people around.
