Drinks Canyon Camping Area is located just 6 miles up the Colorado River on Hwy 191 from Moab. This BLM managed campsite has 17 sites that are all first-come, first served. Just a short drive from Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Fisher Towers, and the surrounding BLM land, Drinks Canyon makes the perfect place to set up basecamp for your stay in the Moab area.
Situated right on the banks of the Colorado River, Drinks Canyon Camping Area puts you among the towering red sandstone cliffs of the Colorado River canyon. The river isn't easily accessed from this camping area, but you can be sure that you'll be within ear shot of the soothing running waters to put you to sleep.
Each campsite comes with a fire ring, grill grate, and a picnic table. There is no running water, so be sure to pack your own. There are two open air vault toilets in the campground, one at the far end of the lower campground, and another at the upper parking area.
This campground fills up fast during the prime season so be sure to show up early in order to secure a site. The fee is $15 per night, be sure to have cash or check on hand that you can drop in the fee box when you arrive.
