Camp at Castle Rock Campground

Castle Rock Campground is located within Utah's Fremont Indian State Park just off Interstate 70, which according to the camp host, is a favorite place to camp for people traveling between California and Colorado. 

At 6,200 feet in elevation, the temps are manageable in the summer, and the large cottonwood trees and bushes provide shade from the sun and privacy from your neighbors. Castle Rock Campground has 42 sites that range from pull-thru, to doubles, and even a couple of tipis! Tipi sites only cost $30, but they go quick. There are vault toilets along with a bathroom with running water! 

Pro Tip: the camp host mentioned that you can take a free shower at the Sam Stowe Campground on the other side of the state park. He also mentioned that Sam Stowe Campground lacks the privacy of Castle Rock.

The cost to camp at Castle Rock Campground is as follows:

Single Sites:

• $15 - up to 8 people and one vehicle at the site
• $10 - for an extra vehicle

Double Sites:

• $30 - up to 16 people and two vehicles
• $10 - for an extra vehicle

Tipi Sites:

• $30 - up to 8 people and one vehicle at the site
• $10 - for an extra vehicle
