Find Your Home at the Boulder A-Lodge This Summer
Just three miles from Pearl Street, tucked in Fourmile Canyon, the Boulder Adventure Lodge—or A-Lodge, as it's called—is waiting for you. Co-founders and co-owners of the A-Lodge, Asa Firestone and Kris Klauber, are serious about providing the best access to Boulder's adventures, and an amenities-rich lodging and community vibe to return to when you're done.
A-Lodge offers rooms, campsites, a cabin, a youth hostel, and adventure van rentals. On-site, they have programming and concerts, a shuttle to Eldora Ski Resort during the winter, a saloon, pavilion, meeting room, hot tub and pool, and a slackline park.
Honestly, we're not sure you'd ever get us out of there once we settled in. Why would we ever want to leave?
Here's just a taste of what the A-Lodge has coming up this summer.
Outdoor Screening of The Dawn Wall
Part of the Under the Wall Film Series, the A-Lodge is screening Sender Films' The Dawn Wall on August 15 at 5:30 pm. To get to the Lodge, join in on a group ride from the Fjallraven store in downtown Boulder or hop on a free shuttle from the Justice Center parking lot.
In addition to the film, the night will feature music, beer, food, and prizes. Oh, and some awesome people to share the experience with.
Second Saturday Live Music Series
Every second Saturday of the month during the summer, the A-Lodge hosts a live band from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in their Beer Garden. Did we mention they had a beer garden?
Stop by on your way back from climbing, biking, or hiking and enjoy beer, friends, and great music. You don't have to recreate first to show up, though. All are welcome...even on lazy days.
Adventure is Right Around the Corner
When the A-Lodge put access in their motto, they weren't kidding around. The best of Boulder is just a stone's throw away, including these iconic adventure spots:
You're going to need a comfortable place to spend the night after hiking this 16.4-mile sufferfest that connects five of Boulder's highest peaks.
If suffering isn't really your style, this one-mile loop is easier on the legs and leads to panoramic views of the city and massive rock formations.
Hop on one of the trails at the Betasso Preserve for a flowy ride that belies the Front Range's reputation as a spot for technical riders only. If you want to get a little further afield, check out the North Table Mountain Loop or the Walker Ranch Loop.
