6 Beautiful Lakes to Explore in Olympic National Park
Whether it’s gliding across the lake on a kayak, taking a guided boat tour, or sticking to the trail on a hike, you’re going to fall in love with these alpine lakes in Olympic National Park. Lake Crescent is an ideal spot to rent a kayak and launch yourself right out of the Log Cabin Resort. Once you’ve spent enough time on the lake, return the kayak, and lounge on the beach.
This short hike brings you to a secluded lake surrounded by firs, wildflowers, and even some wildlife. It’s a tucked away spot that will provide you with some much needed quiet time.
This hike is a great opportunity to see a waterfall 1.6 miles in. After stopping off to enjoy the roaring waters, you’ll want to carry on to Deer Lake for a total of 5.6 miles.
Make this a day hike or, as we recommend, backpack overnight to Lake Angeles for a few days of nature among the firs.
We love taking the hike to Upper Lena Lake for some peace and quiet. You’ll get to pass Lena Lake and enjoy the views of Mt. Bretherton too!
For a classic summer spot, take a dip in Lake Cushman. Chill on the shoreline or grab a paddle board.
