Unlike the rest of the park, Turkey Peak is an actual peak rather than a dome with a unique view of Enchanted Rock.
There isn't an official trail to Turkey Peak, but it is one of the best views in the park. This is no easy climb, so be prepared to be sweating!
From the parking lot head towards the Gazebo. From there begins the Summit Trail that leads to the top of Enchanted Rock, but you want to stay right, towards Frog Pond (not the Sandy Creek Trail). The trail forks and you want to go to the left, where it starts to get a little more steep. This is the Turkey Trail Pass which passes between Enchanted Rock and Turkey Peak & Freshman Mountain.
Less than a quarter of a mile you will start to see unmarked trails on your right that head towards the peak. We passed a few of those and took one closer towards the northwest part of the peak. You want to make your way to backside of the peak.
It's a pretty steep climb and once you get closer to the top, you will have to climb onto some larger rocks. Be careful, but it's worth it when you see this unique view of Enchanted Rock!
