Peaceful trail that showcases some of Texas' natural beauty. Quick and easy loop, good for all skill levels and families. Dog-friendly trail just outside of Angleton, TX, featuring wildlife and wild flowers.
Park off of Old Angleton-Clute Rd (see map) to access the trail. Trail is accessible year-round. There are bathrooms and an environmental education pavilion used for special events.
Two trails, the Tveten Trail (0.9 miles, concrete paved path) and the Bayou Loop Trail (1.5 miles, gravel path).
Tveten Trail (Length: 0.9 mile loop)
This trail takes you to the banks of Bastrop Bayou, with chances to see turtles or songbirds.
Bayou Loop (Length: 1.5 mile loop)
This is a gravel trail that is slightly more remote. A rest-stop at the observation platform provides the opportunity to see ducks and deer.
