The Dana Peak Park Trail is a 6.8 mile hike with scenic views outside of Harker Heights, Texas.
This trail is shared by hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and trail runners. The trail is open year-round, but is best travelled from October through April. Dogs are allowed on this trail but should be kept on leash. The peak offers scenic views of central Texas. You can park inside or outside of the park - if you plan to park inside, be prepared to pay a small parking fee. There is also a large lake that is perfect for swimming, boating or canoeing.
