About this place

Added by Erin Newman-Mitchell

The Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail is a moderate hike just outside of Belton, Texas that features many beautiful waterfalls and streams.

The Chalk Ridge Falls Trail can be found within Chalk Ridge Falls Park just outside of Belton, Texas. The trail features one main waterfall as well as a neat suspension bridge. The hike to the waterfall and the bridge are not but about half a mile from the parking lot. Overall the trail is about 2.5 miles long and is an out-and-back trail. It's mostly shaded and follows alongside the creek. This park is perfect for a family outing. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after!

Parking is abundant and easily accessible. In terms of handicap accessibility, the main trail is flat mostly, but not paved. Once you reach the waterfall the trail does have a decline which is difficult to descend, but you are able to view it from above. There are several side trails that are elevated and are not handicap accessible.
