Scenic, short loop in Purtis Creek State Park
Beaver Slide Nature Park Loop is a loop trail that takes you by a lake located near Eustace, TX. This hike is fairly quick and is family-friendly. You can pack your camping gear into the primitive sites if you're looking for an overnight. Learn more about the campsites on the Texas.gov site.
The trail winds through the primitive campsites, so best to hit the trail on non crowded weekend times especially during holiday weekends.
This hike is dog on-leash friendly.

Nice, easy trail
This is a very pretty trail with beautiful lake views and a bird blind on the water. Easy enough for kids.
