Climb high-quality sandstone beneath the shade of hemlock trees in one of Tennessee's best climbing areas. Lilly Boulders has more than 150 established lines ranging from V0 to V13, with many classic climbs in the V2 to V6 range.
Start the quick approach to Lilly Boulders from the Lilly Overlook parking area. For directions, plug the coordinates 36.10277, -84.72147 into your GPS or try here.
At the leftmost part of the parking lot, you will see a sign for the trailhead leading to the boulder field. Follow this 0.2-mile trail downhill to cross over the road and a wooden walkway before arriving at Lilly Boulders.
Nestled between beautiful hemlock trees, the Lilly Boulders area provides cooler climbing conditions even during Tennessee's hottest months. Here you'll find excellent quality sandstone boulders ranging in height from 8 feet tall to 20+ foot highballs. The diversity of available climbs makes it a trip worthwhile for all skill levels.
