Easy trail right off of the Ocoee river featuring multiple waterfalls and cascades. Short distance makes it perfect for beginners and experienced alike!
Very little elevation gain leads to an easy hike along a river right outside of the Ocoee river region. First .7 miles is very flat, then leads to some slight elevation gain but nothing too serious. This trail traverses through the lush forest for a short distance when you come across a small creek that must be forded to get to the trail on the other side. There are rocks to help guide you across without getting wet but sometimes the safest bet is just putting your feet right in! Shortly after this you will have to cross again. After the second creek crossing you will begin to get a glimpse of the lower falls. Continue on and you will get to your destination at the larger falls! There are a couple swimming holes that welcome you (and any pups!) at the end. Beware of the crawfish! If you're feeling adventurous, you can scramble up the steep cliffside on the left of the falls and continue up river for a hundred yards or so and come across a large cascade.
