About this place

Added by Alyssa Lewis

This little trail is beautifully maintained, however it can be very invisible to most people. It starts in the parking lot of a local gas station, but once you enter, you won't regret it!

This tucked away trail is well-hidden. I actually needed air in my tire and this was the closest gas station. As I was circling the parking lot to see if they had an air pump, I saw there was a sign that read "14 Creek Mile Trail". As I'm an adventure lover, I immediately parked my car and followed the sign.

You start on the wooden ramp that lowers you down onto the path. As soon as you step off the ramp you realize just how gorgeous this place really is. It is rarely visited by more than two people at once, so if you're interested in soaking up nature alone, this is the place to do it. The trail cuts through the forest and over the river there. The bridges are all wooden and well made.

At the end you can explore a little in the city land that's covered in forest or turn around and head back. It is beautiful. Especially in the summer when you can dip your feet in the river and enjoy the outdoor theater that's just off the main trail. I have used this place for photos to boost my nature photography business as well! The parking is well marked and the entrance is free.
