About this place

Added by Outbound

The Pitt Street Bridge Trail, is a scenic and easy 0.8-mile out-and-back path in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Once the main crossing between Mount Pleasant and Sullivan’s Island, this historic bridge now offers an inviting space for birding, fishing, road biking, and leisurely walks. There is a paved trail with benches placed at intervals, and dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash. The fishing pier at the end provides an ideal spot for catching blue crabs, flounder, bass, and trout where Cove Inlet meets Charleston Harbor.

The trail is accessible to wheelchairs, mobility devices, and strollers, with a flat, paved surface averaging 12 feet in width. The parking area near the trailhead includes a designated accessible space.
