The Senador Mine Guadalupe Loop in Almaden Quicksilver County Park is a 4.8 mile loop easily accessible in the southern part of the Bay Area (South Bay). The trail features a lake and scenic views.
The trails are well maintained and offer good visibility. The trail can be muddy after it rains, and does not have much shade (so bring extra water in the summer).
Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept on leash. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife - this trail is frequently used for birding expeditions and nature trips.
The loop follows the Senador Mine Trail and connects with the Guadalupe Trail for great views of the Guadalupe Reservoir before finalizing the loop on the Mine Hill Trail to return back to the trailhead.
