About this place

Added by Outbound

Hill 88 is a loop trail used by hikers and runners with amazing views of Rodeo Beach and Rodeo Lagoon.

This quick, yet challenging trail run is located just minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Grab your dog (on-leash), park in the large lot next to Rodeo Beach and hit the trail! The climb starts up the Coastal Trail to the right end of the parking lot if you're staring at the beach.

Take the Coastal Trail up to Hill 88. You'll see the Coastal Trail veer off into multiple directions during your climb, but stay focused and head northeast, climbing up the trail until you reach the top of the hill. Instead of retracing your steps back down the Coastal Trail, descend on Wolf Ridge to the Miwok Trail. The Miwok Trail will take you back down to Bunker Road. Follow Bunker road next Rodeo Lagoon until it forks and stay left, merging onto Mitchell Road, which drops you back at the parking lot.

Need to refuel after? Head to Bar Bocce for a bite, beer, and a game of bocce on their back patio.

A great hike so close to SF. I'd recommend doing it the opposite direction, heading up the valley on Miwok Trail and Wolf Ridge ...
