Small park, big redwoods and few people. Great way to spend a few hours!
This is a great find. We saw it on the map it was on the way from Mendocino to our next stop, Napa Valley. So glad we took the time to visit. It is a small park with about a two mile loop hike in a valley floor loaded with huge redwoods and few people. The trail is very easy and starts along a small creek. The trail is relatively flat and easy to find. It does go a little deeper into the forest but the trail becomes unmarked so don't travel in too far past the signs that direct you where to cross over and head back on the other side of this narrow valley. As you walk, you feel as if you are in an enchanted forest.
Although it is small I would definitely return because of the solitude and beautiful tall redwoods. There is no entrance fee, limited parking and there are a few picnic tables where you park.
