About this place

Added by Ashley Chang

Visit this small park to see thousands of monarchs in their natural habitat. It's free and butterflies practically pose for you!

Thousands of monarchs can be found here October through February. It's a small park with a path through the center. Park near the Monarch Grove hotel at the sign that says "Caution: Butterflies present", and cross the street to walk down the short path (pink houses will be on your right) and to the Grove. There are often guides with scopes at the beginning of the path.

If you're there in good weather, you'll see butterflies flying around as soon as you park. If there's a storm coming, many of them will bunch together on branches to protect their wings. Either way it is a beautiful sight! Walk down the path and be careful not to step on any!
