Throw your fins on and take a few waves at this beach break. The beach is easy to access, has restrooms, and is dog friendly. The cove creates a an amazing backdrop to take in the sunset with that special someone. Duration: An evening.
Rodeo beach is 10 minute drive past the Golden Gate. Pack up the car with a couple beverages and something to eat, then spend the afternoon and evening taking in the sunset. If you're taking the romantic angle, remember to pack a few blankets just in case the wind picks up or it's colder than anticipated. If it's a sunny day and the beach is crowded, head toward the south end (away from the parking lot) to pick your spot.
If you're really lucky and your significant other is fine with hanging out for a bit, jump in the water and take a few waves. There's a bowl that forms up on the north-side of the beach, but there's usually a lot of water moving. There's another peak in the middle of the beach that dumps onto a sandbar and creates some hollow sections.
Once you're had your fill, head in and spend time with your loved one(s).
