About this place

Added by Gene Reyes

Easy loop hike overlooking Pacific Coast Highway. Catch the sunset or go in for a quick walk!

Starting at the parking lot adjacent to Gray Whale Cove State Beach, proceed to the start sign indicating "Grey Whale Cove Trail".

GWCT is a fun brisk hike with slight elevation gain that should be easy enough to take a small group or even children to. Take note of the tight spaces you may encounter along the trail. There is an abundance of picturesque wildflowers and the beautiful view of Highway One/Pacific Coast Highway. Rabbits are also present during spring time. Remember to respect their habitat, do not litter or feed!

Catch the sunset for the optimal lighting situation for photographing the beautiful landscape, find the bench near summit and soak in the view!

If you want a longer hike, check out the Gray Whale Cove Trail

Great sunset spot
Great spot for sunset. Bring a picnic! Remember to bring a flashlight in case it gets dark for your walk back up.

Secluded Beach
This is a picturesque beach with tall cliffs on one side. You have to do a teeny hike down to the beach. ...

Breathtaking views
We were driving back to SF from half moon bay when we looked or the window and had to pull over to admire the ocean views.
