Convenient location, but not too crowded. Long sandy beach with great views. Showers and restrooms. Dog friendly. Free parking.
This is a wide, beautiful beach that's an amazing spot to spend the day and enjoy a bonfire at night in one of the designated fire rings. Seabright is probably the most popular spot in Santa Cruz for a bonfire, due to its convenient proximity to the Beach Boardwalk. But luckily, this beach is tucked in between the San Lorenzo River and the Santa Cruz Boat Harbor, and is just far enough away to limit the crowds a bit. There are ten fire pits to choose from and they are all first-come, first-served.
The beach features beautiful sunset views, tons of room to roam, and fun waves to play in throughout the day. The beach closes at 10pm. This is a dog friendly beach (on leash) and features free parking - although parking can be difficult over the summer and during special events.
FEES:
There is an entry fee to Seabright State Beach. If you have a California State Parks Pass, the fee is waived.
