Spend the night under redwoods with campsites that border Lagunitas Creek and offer close access to Devil's Gulch Trail and Barnabe Peak. The campsites are dog-friendly with a maximum occupancy is 6 people per campsite. There are 6 group campsites available which can accommodate 10-50 people.
These West Marin campsites are often overlooked. It does get busy during the summer, but take the rest of the year to explore this state park. The main campground boasts more than 50 campsites with restrooms, hot pay showers, and piped drinking water. A few spaces can accommodate trailers, but there are no hookups available. In addition, there are several group sites, including Madrone and Devil's Gulch, which can accommodate up to 50 people.

Looking for activities with your group? Barnabe Peak is a 9+ mile hike, which has roughly 1,400 feet in elevation gain. The top of Barnabe Peak offers up panoramic views of Marin County. Is 9 miles too long? Head to Devil's Gulch for a 4-mile out-and-back hike with only ~150 feet of elevation gain. The latter is recommended if you're doing a family camping trip.
Once you've worked up a sweat, walk down to Shafter Bridge, which you crossed when entering the park. Take a look below the bridge, and you'll find natural swimming holes to cool off in. Word to the wise, it's really cold in the winter.
