Hike Corte Madera Mountain

From Buckman Springs Road, turn onto Corral Canyon OHV/Morena Stokes Valley Rd and drive almost 5 miles to a green gate with a red heart on it, this is the trailhead. Just past the turn is the parking area that fits 5-6 vehicles. Walk across the road past the locked gate and head up the oak covered trail and you'll eventually come to the Espinosa Trail marker. From here you'll slowly climb out of the oak into chapparal and manzanita with a slow climb to the saddle of fire roads and trails.

After arriving at the saddle you'll see signs pointing out Los Pinos Mountain trail to the left, Espinosa Trail straight ahead, and a small handmade sign for Corte Madera Mountain. Here, you'll see picturesque views of the valley to the west and the iconic view of Corte Madera. Head to right and follow the trail making a slow climb through more manzanita and a few Coulter Pine. The trail gets a bit rocky and some minor climbing over the rocks is needed. Once to the peak, you'll get stunning views from all directions, continue on trail through more pines and oaks, past large boulders which beg to be climbed. Follow along the trail to the summit, along the way you'll witness great views of the face of Corte Madera. Follow trail back down to the trailhead for return.
