Coronado Beach is a great place to relax just outside of San Diego, California.
Photograph the iconic and historic Hotel Del and Coronado Beach on Coronado Island. The Del is a beautiful Victorian resort, which is the second-largest wooden structure in the United States. The Del offers amazing photo opportunities during sunset and during sunrise when it is beautifully backlit. The area surrounding The Del offers endless opportunities for the entire family or a romantic weekend for two to enjoy. Paddleboard the bay, surf the Pacific, play beach volleyball on the white sand beaches, or just relax on the balcony as the sun sets. The angle in which the sun sets over the Point Loma Peninsula creates a dramatic sunset to photograph. You don't have to be a guest to enjoy The Del's luxurious bars, eloquent architecture, and white sandy beaches, because the hotel and the beach are open to the public. The Del is also within walking distance of Orange Avenue, which is the main drag on Coronado Island. Orange Avenue offers multiple bars, restaurants, shops, and The Coronado Brewery. 16 U.S. Presidents have stayed at The Del, so you know it's worth it!
From downtown San Diego, simply take Interstate 5 southbound to the Coronado Bridge. Take the bridge over the San Diego Bay. Turn Left/South on Orange Ave and take it for 2 miles until you reach The Del and Coronado Beach on your right.
