Hike the Rainbow Loop in Settlers Cabin

There are three main trails in the park. The Green Loop (2 miles), Blue Loop (2 miles), and Purple Loop (1.5 miles). These all connect at some point so if you are looking for a little longer walk you can do all three at once. This totals a 5.5 mile loop. 

You can park at the tennis courts and do all three or as some call it, the "Rainbow Loop". It is a little under 5 miles of trail. The first trail is the blue which runs into the green. Here you can take a little break at the waterfall on the green and just enjoy the woods for a little. This also gives you some time to play in the water. ***Be careful on the green loop if it is raining or right after a rain. The trails gets really muddy and you can easily slide down the hillside. From the green you will run into the purple. This is a nice little addition if you feel like going on a little longer walk. If not, just continue on the green and you will run back into the blue. I know this sounds confusing but once you see the map of the park you will completely understand. 

The upkeep on these trails is awesome. The REI across the highway from the park does the upkeep. It is a great, fast escape if you don't have a whole day to get out of town and hike. Or if you just want to kill a couple of hours and not have to travel too far to do it.
