About this place

Added by Shawn Grenninger

In just under 4 miles, this loop is great hike climbing to a ridgeline with several vistas to take in multiple views of the beautiful Pine Creek Valley.

Park at the end of Naval Run Road, at the end of the road to the right, follow the sign for Lance Raisch Trail marked with yellow blazes.  This is the first of three trails that this loop will use.

The Lance Raisch Trail climbs in elevation along Naval Run and after about a quarter mile will instersect with the orange blazes of the the Black Forest Trail.  Take the sharp right onto the Black Forest Trail and continue to climb and switchback up to the ridgeline.

Once on the main ridge, there will be multiple vista's that make for great spots to stop and chill taking in the views.

Follow the Black Forest Trail until the Junction of Frank Jerald Trail, there will be a wooden sign on a tree.  Hang a right unto Frank Jerald Trail which does not have blazes but is easy to follow.

In a short distance Stone Seat vista will also be marked with a wooden sign on a tree and is about 35 yards off the trail.  Frank Jerald Trail will continue downhill leading to Naval Run road coming out between two cabins.  Follow Naval Run Road half a mile back to the parking area.

On the way out, stop at Hotel Manor for a post-hike beer!
