Starfish Beach

Starfish beach is a large beach with many small restaurants and bars making this a fun place to spend the afternoon. The waters here are crystal clear and calm for most of the year, with the exception of a few northerly swells that the island receives in November and December.  There is a high concentration of starfish that come to the beach to feed. Although it might be tempting to touch the starfish, or take them out of the water for a picture, please do not do it.  

There are several ways to get to Starfish Beach. If you are in good shape, you can rent a bike in town for around $7-$10 per day and bike to the beach. This is roughly an 11 mile ride with several hills. If riding a bike isn't for you, you can also take a bus or taxi from Bocas Town. Another option is by boat. There are many boat taxi services or tour operators around town that can arrange a boat for you. By going through a tour operator you can bundle this with several other attractions such as Bird Island or Playa Boca del Drago for a full day adventure.
